YMP 2011 List Of Activities

First Cornerstone Laying in Rebuilding SDN 28 Manulife Kampung Keuramat, Banda Aceh

Manulife Indonesia has announced a major new community investment to expand and modernize an elementary school, SDN 28, in Kampung Keramat, Banda Aceh. Manulife Indonesia will make a significant investment in the project, which kicked off on October 28 with a symbolic cornerstone laying celebration represented by Alan Merten, President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Indonesia, together with local officials and school leaders. The current SDN 28 was built by Manulife Indonesia after the Tsunami in 2005. It is one of five school buildings across Indonesia whose construction or renovation was funded by the company and administered through the Manulife Care Foundation, the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm. Besides the school building projects in Banda Aceh, Manulife Indonesia has also financed micro-loans to support micro business owners in the community.
Baby Weight Scaling and Dental & Oral Check Up at PAUD Kenanga, Cikini Kramat
Yayasan Manulife Peduli (YMP) held social charity activity “Baby Weight Scaling & Dental and Oral Check Up at PAUD Kenanga, Cikini Kramat, on July 26, 2011. This activity was participated by one hundred aged 4-6 years children and 293 babies under 3 years old. YMP has given a free medical check up and health education on how to brush teeth properly to the PAUD Junior High School’s students. Moreover, YMP also gave goodie bags with vitamins, toothbrush, etc to all the participants. This activity was part of Manulife 26 th Anniversary activities.
